Co-op Work Permits & SIN Cards

Hello FT MBA 2015 International students!

Just a friendly reminder if you have not already submitted your paperwork to obtain your Co-op Work Permit and/or SIN Card for your summer internship experience, doing so in the next few weeks is a great idea if you are planning to work in Canada for your summer internship.

IF you have received your Co-op Work Permit and/or SIN Card please stop by the BCC  during our office hours (8:30-4:30 pm, M to F) and we can make copies for your internship file to be sure you are accounted for.

Note: Co-op Work Permits/ SIN Cards must be submitted to the BCC by Monday, May 5, 2014 to be eligible to start your summer internship.  Employers may ask for this documentation as part of your summer internship job offer.  It is best to start this process now, instead of waiting to the last minute!

Brand Management Mentorship Program

Ever dreamed of managing a top global brand like Dove, Colgate or Oreo? Are you excited by the idea of launching new products or developing a marketing campaign while managing the long-term image and profitability of a brand?

If this sounds thrilling to you, then brand management may be the career for you. Brand management is the culmination of everything you learn in business school. As a brand manager, you run your own brand and business to deliver multi-million dollar results.

The Brand Management Mentorship Program (BMMP) is led and delivered by Sauder alumni marketing professionals and facilitated by Professor Tim Silk. The strength and success of the BMMP stems from our team of alumni mentors who have successfully landed some of the most coveted Brand Management positions in top tier companies such as Colgate-Palmolive, Kraft, Mondelez and Procter & Gamble among others. We have an in-depth understanding of what it takes to be successful in the interview process as well as on-the-job. Having gone through the process ourselves, we can provide insightful feedback on your resume, job-searching, and interview skills.

Eligible Students: Undergraduates looking to graduate in May 2015 or 2016, and MBA students looking to graduate in December 2014.

Program Facilitators: Alumni mentors from P&G, Colgate-Palmolive, Mondelez, Kraft, Pepsi, Energizer, Virgin Mobile, Blast Radius, and Carat.

Interested?

We invite you to visit http://www.sauder.ubc.ca/bmmp  to learn more and apply to the program (right side of web page).  We also encourage you to attend the information session taking place from 12:30 – 2:00pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in HA 492 where you can talk to people who’ve lived the experience.  Details and RSVP on COOL!
