Tissot:scam or scam free?

Posted by in Uncategorized

I was always a fan of watches. But i wasn’t a fan of any watches. I was more into the brands reliability and its reputation. So watches that were from designer brands were not in my interest and I didn’t bother to even take a look at them. In my eyes, they were simply just for the brand name and image. Designer watches are of course not specialized in the production of watches. Moving on, one particular brand that caught my eyes in recent years was the brand Tissot. In…read more

Posted by in Uncategorized

With the United Nations being one of the most stabilized and powerful international organization in the world, one may think why is there still the urgency to have social enterprises or programs like The Arc? This is the catch. United Nations is fully funded but there are still social entrepreneurs in the world trying to solve their problems. For those who are unsure of what “Social Entrepreneurs” mean, its as simple as how Sally Osberg of the Skoll Foundation stated: “Social Entrepreneurship pave avenues of opportunity for those who would,…read more

Before my entrance into Sauder, my marketing view or even business as a whole was very limited. However as each class progressed, I began to attain more and more knowledge. As the winter season approaches, consumer’s tastes of clothing apparel shifts from the summer tank tops to the fashionable winter apparel. If you haven’t noticed in the past years, especially in Vancouver, The North Face as a brand has sprouted into popularity. Lets be honest, when we hear North Face, what do we automatically think of? The typical puffy Nuptse jacket or what most people refer to as “the bomber”. However, as mentioned in Mike Chen’s “Staying True to home.” North Face has simply declined as a whole. But why?…read more

A Spark between First Nations and BC Hyrdro

Posted by in Uncategorized

A fire has been sparked between the relationships of the government and the First Nations once again after a recent proposal. BC Hydro proposes an $8-billion Site C hydroelectric megaproject being built on the Peace River in northeastern BC. This would involve a dam along with a 1,100-megawatt hydroelectric generating station. However, this project isn’t as simple as it sounds. It creates a disastrous atmosphere to the First Nation’s habitat. The dam itself would flood 83Km of the aforementioned river, ultimately destroying farmland and the wildlife habitat. The First Nations…read more

Drive thru, Walmart, Smart idea?

Posted by in Uncategorized

Walmart’s new concept of purchasing grocery is out of the ordinary. They have released a new service, free of charge, where customers can enter a drive-thru for their groceries. We’ve all heard of drive-thrus in the fast food industry; however, a drive thru for groceries is my first. Walmart’s new marketing strategy targets consumers who do not have the time to go in store and spend hours looking for goods. Walmart’s drive-thru service is a simple concept. Consumers shop online and then they can pick up their order by notifying…read more

Is online shopping becoming the new trend?

Posted by in Uncategorized

As school approaches, there is only one particular store to visit before summer ends. A large office depot called, Staples. Early in its days, Staples was known for its copying and printing services. Offering services from photocopies to custom business cards, Staples has spread widely across Canada and U.S. through its advertisements. Now, we envision Staples as the store for school supplies; however, as I was getting ready for school, I noticed Staples didn’t have any promotions like the usual. I asked an employee out of curiosity as to why…read more
