Preparing the Web Folio

Good Saturday 301

I am in the process of reading your Reports, which will take me about a week – I’ll send out your grades and comments for you as I work through the reports. I hope you all enjoy the process of putting together your final assignment – the Web Folio. The best advice I can give you for this assignment is to consider your Web Folio as a product that you can continue to work on as you develop you professional skills. Once 301 is finished, your Web Folio will continue to be a useful platform for presenting your skills and links. As for evaluating Web Folios – it is SO IMPORTANT that you have someone proof read for you before you publish. Small errors are  easy for an author to miss, but so obvious to your reader. In the professional world, an editor or proof-reader is a part of the process of writing. So, please do ask a team member to proof-read for you and return the favour.

One last note on the Student Evaluation process; Sunday is the last day for evaluations, and so far 10 students have competed an evaluation. I cannot read these until the course is finished and grades have been submitted, but I can see the number of completed evaluations. Please do put aside 20 minutes of your day and respond to the questions on the Evaluation. I very much appreciate your feedback and any  ideas for improving the course, and as well – these evaluations impact my career options, much like students need letters of reference to proceed with an academic career, professors need positive evaluations to apply for future positions.

Please do not hesitate to email any questions concerning your final assignment.

Thank you.
