I want to share with you about my findings on best practices on LinkedIn. I took a employee seeking employment perspective and tailored my findings on connecting with influencers and potential employers.

The top 10 best practices I found are:

1. Completing your LinkedIn profile as it’s been shown to receive 30% more weekly views (LinkedIn Marketing Solutions)
2. Sharing content that is relevant to you and content that you are passionate about (LinkedIn Marketing Solutions)

5. Write a good summary that engages your audience (Marx, 2018)
6. Ask for reviews and testimonials (Marx, 2018)
7. Include visuals such as profile picture and relevant pictures to your posts (Marx, 2018)
8. Include an informative headline (Social Hire)
9. Search engine optimize your page with key words (Social Hire)
10. Ask for recommendations to be written for you on LinkedIn, it is seen as a modern reference letter (Social Hire)
