First Impressions
–       Appearance of the media contents (profile picture and cover photo) professional looking?

–       Is the profile complete with essential sections filled out?

–       Is the LinkedIn URL unique?

–       Is the headline up to date?

–       This is a coherent, skillfully crafted and personable LinkedIn profile, very well done

–       The profile picture is professional looking with a personable smile which goes a long way

–       Cover picture effectively convey the interests of the author with GIS modelling and also showed competency with the field/software

–        All essential section of the profile is filled out

–       The LinkedIn URL is unique and the headline is up to date

Summary Section
–       Does it highlight professional qualities of the individual?

–       Does it contain searchable key words that employers look for?

–       Is the message being sent consistent with the rest of the profile (experiences backed up)?

–       Is it conscious and readable without being overwhelming?

–       Summary section effectively highlights the professional qualities of the individual by showing professional interest (environmentalism), and relevant skills (GIS)

–       This section contains searchable key words such as GIS, remote sensing, climate change, and sustainability

–       Experiences is backed up by the rest of the profile. Profile also did a great job showing her future career interests

–       This section is readable without being overwhelming

Experience Section
–       Is the experience section complete with dates, location and relevant organization?

–       Does the subsection convey skills developed through the experience?

–       Does the subsection convey achievements in that position?

–       Does the subsection contain information regarding their duty?

–       Are there complementary media relevant to the role/organization?

–       All section of the experience section is complete with multiple summary points for each role

–       The section highlighted exceptional completion of duties required for the role

–       The section also showed skills developed through duties required of the role

–       Great addition of numbers to show the extent of the role/organization

–       Media associated with the role/organization is also included. Would be nice to assign names to those media profiles instead of seeing a string of numbers.

Education Section
–       Education updated?

–       Does it show the background of the degree and listed any specialization taken (if any)?

–       Does it show their involvement with the school?

–       The education section is updated and also shows specialization within the degree.

–       The subsection also included extracurricular involvement with campus organizations which is helpful in showing the breadth of the author’s skills

Volunteer Section
–       Is it updated and ordered in a manner that makes sense?

–       Does it show what they learned through their experience?

–       Does it show their duty/responsibilities of their role?

–       There is an extensive list of volunteering experiences which goes on to show the author’s interest in the field of environmentalism

–       Each sub section consciously details the skills and the duty required of the position

Supplementary Information – Skills and Endorsements Section
–       Does it contain key skills outlined in the summary and experience section?

–       Does it increase the searchability of the profile author?

–       Relevant and employer-desired skills are shown with numbers of endorsements

–       It definitely increases the searchability of the profile. I would also recommend including some soft skills (i.e. communication, leadership, etc.) to be included

Supplementary Information – Accomplishment Section and Interests Section
–       Is the profile complete and does it allow the author to stand out?

 

–       This section is completed with numbers of relevant UBC courses that compliments with the author’s career goal and skills

–       The completion of awards and project experience will allow the author to stand out

Grammar and Writing Style
–       Is the tone professional?

–       Are there any grammar mistakes?

–       Overall the tone of the profile is professional, conscious and easy to understand

–       I did not spot any grammar mistakes, but I would recommend to keep the use of comma at the end of the sentence consistent

o   For example: in the subtext for UBC rooftop garden, EcoRanger,

Final Impression and Comments
Overall this is a skillfully crafted LinkedIn profile, great job. Other than the minor recommendations this profile is coherent and effectively demonstrated your experiences and relevant skills. It is also great that you portrayed your career vision backed by consistent effort for involvement which will prompt employers to reach out.
