You may have heard some strange sounds coming from the Brock Hall concourse area lately – knocking, drilling, sanding, and the occasional grunt. This summer we’ve been preparing to say goodbye to the old Information Centre, and hello to a brand new space for ESPs to meet students. On Monday the final product was finally revealed!
We’re proud to announce that this new space will be called the Advising Centre. While it might look different, we can assure our colleagues in different units across Enrolment Services that all of the same services/inboxes/people are here – just in a different place. If you’re new to the space and would like a tour (or to find the Rec/Reg tray!) just let one of your friendly neighbourhood ESPs know.
The new space is designed to be more conducive to some of our larger advising conversations, while still providing the same great service that students expected at the Information Centre. This reporter took a moment to ask some of the ESPs how they would describe the area:
