The Sort it Out Showdown is an fun and easy recycling challenge that will run from November 3 – 28, where teams from different departments compete against other teams across campus to gain points and win prizes:
- The challenge consists of 3 core activities and 5 optional activities, all focused on zero waste and recycling.
- Teams have up to four weeks to complete as many activities as they can for points.
- The highest scoring teams will win prizes including a corporate massage package, pizza party from Mercante or Fair Trade gift baskets.
- Teams that complete just the core activities will be entered into a draw prize for gift cards to use at UBC Food Services, the Bookstore and more.
Our goal is to support UBC’s target of 70% waste diversion by 2016 and we hope this challenge will help everyone learn more about how to recycle on campus.
