Back in February the Student Records & Systems Management team had our annual team retreat! This year we spent the first portion of the day here in Brock Hall getting to know each other and the work we do a little better, and then the team headed out to Nourish Cafe and Cooking School  on West 10th to learn how to make Gnocchi and Pizza!

The different teams within SRSM learning about what each other does!

Here’s our ES Administrative Assistant Manpreet Virdi’s review of the entire day! Manpreet skyped in from her home in the morning and then met the rest of the team at Nourish in the afternoon:

This year on February 22, 2017 for our annual retreat the SRSM team started the day off by doing mini presentations. They were presented in power point, poems, skit, and video to show and learn what each of us does in our role, and how we contribute and connect both to our team, and to SRSM, ES, and UBC.

I presented my presentation as a fun interactive power point that my co-workers got to see over Skype. Being able to share my power point over Skype was an exciting experience for me because it made me feel like I was physically on campus to share my power point and not at home.

For the second part of our annual retreat the SRSM team went to Nourish for cooking class. The SRSM team spent a fun filled afternoon at Nourish Cooking School which is located at 3742 W 10th Ave in Vancouver BC. We learned how to make pizzas and gnocchi. I liked both the pizzas and the gnocchi.

I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with all my co-workers. Looking forward to next year’s SRSM retreat!
