Greetings from Ontario!

My name is Brenda Courey and I live in the southern part of Ontario – quite far south actually as you can see from the map. This course will be my 7th and my goal is to complete the program by the end of next summer (keeping my fingers crossed that I can do 2 at the same time next spring!)

I work for a small school board (10,000 students) and I have taught in elementary schools, secondary schools, then moved to the central office as a curriculum consultant for a few years. I am currently a system principal overseeing secondary school programming and teacher PD, along with managing our Student Success initiative which targets support for at-risk students from Grades 7-12. Anyway, as I head a committee at our board that is developing our plan for 21st Century learning, the MET courses have been invaluable.

I live on a farm with my husband (farmer-turned-lawyer) and have 3 grown children and 1 amazing grandson. Yikes, that makes me old. My passions include technology, (although I almost met my match with html code in my last course, 565), travelling, gardening, and reading great books. I have created several blogs in these courses and have continued with a personal blog that I try to keep updated. I am really intriqued by this weblog format for this course – after so many Vista adventures, this will be a very different environment.  Very exciting!
