All’s Well That Ends Well

Enjoy this exciting new production of  Shakespeare’s classic play with the GSS

This new production is set in India during the waning days of British occupation and the cusp of Indian independence. Helena, a privileged young Indian woman, secretly loves Bertram, an officer in the British Army.  Cultural, social and political barriers stand between them – but Helena doesn’t give up, and her journey takes her into the heart of her own culture and identity as this tumultuous love story unfolds against a backdrop of dramatic societal change.

Your Last Chance to Complete the GSS Survey

The GSS Survey Closes today

  • The survey results are one of the most important tools we have to help us direct our advocacy, events and resources to things that matter. This makes getting the most representative sample very important.
  • The results are something that show how the grad student experience changes over time, so we want the best data.

You hope you’ll take 15 minutes to complete the survey. It makes our work for you more effective.

Softball is in full swing…

2019 softball is well underway. In week 2. Last year’s champions the  Commerce Cubs got off to a winning start against Microballology and there were also wins for the Glueball and Psychotics. You can keep up to date with pics and results on our Facebook page.

The Graduate Student Society and the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy are looking for participants in focus groups with graduate students in research-based programs to identify challenges and successes that students with disability have been experiencing navigating UBC campus and how they perceive UBC accessibility.

Job Opportunity for Students Interested in Climate Change and Climate Policy

Standard

We are a UBC-based radio program, and we have a project we are working on out of the Department of Geography. It has a job opening for UBC graduate students interested in climate change and climate policy. Would you possibly be able to share it across LFS, if you think it is possibly relevant? I’ve attached a word file. Or if it’s easier, you can link directly to our website.
