This new production is set in India during the waning days of British occupation and the cusp of Indian independence. Helena, a privileged young Indian woman, secretly loves Bertram, an officer in the British Army. Cultural, social and political barriers stand between them – but Helena doesn’t give up, and her journey takes her into the heart of her own culture and identity as this tumultuous love story unfolds against a backdrop of dramatic societal change.

Softball is in full swing…
2019 softball is well underway. In week 2. Last year’s champions the Commerce Cubs got off to a winning start against Microballology and there were also wins for the Glueball and Psychotics. You can keep up to date with pics and results on our Facebook page.
The Graduate Student Society and the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy are looking for participants in focus groups with graduate students in research-based programs to identify challenges and successes that students with disability have been experiencing navigating UBC campus and how they perceive UBC accessibility.
