Standard

Dear program administrators,

The following messaging may be of interest to you and your networks.

Please consider applying for and sharing with your networks the following funding opportunity.

StEAR Enhancement Fund:

UBC has now launched a new fund to help support its ongoing commitment to advancing equity and anti-racism across the university. The Strategic Equity and Anti-Racism Enhancement (StEAR) Fund is open to all students, faculty and staff. A total of $300,000 is available this year to support campus community-led projects. Applicants may submit a proposal for funds between $500 to $10,000 per project. Projects must align with one or more of the three thematic streams: Racism/racial equity, ableism/disability equity and sexism, heterosexism, homophobia, transphobia/sexual & gender equity. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, every six to eight weeks. Those who require their project funding by a specific date are encouraged to look to the website for further information on the rolling deadlines. Applications can still be submitted on an ongoing basis following these dates. Learn more about the StEAR Enhancement Fund here.

Additionally, please consider sharing with your student networks a reminder to complete the Student Diversity Census.

Student Diversity Census – Call for participation:

All UBC students are encouraged to fill out the Student Diversity Census to help UBC better understand the diversity of the student population. Demographic data will help UBC identify barriers to access and inclusion and improve student programming and experiences. Access your census link in your Canvas inbox.
