- Eduardo Jovel, Associate Professor, and Director, Indigenous Research Partnerships
- Robert Kozak, Dean, Faculty of Forestry
- Dana-Lyn Mackenzie, Senior Manager, EDI and Indigeneity
- Gurcharn Singh Brar, Assistant Professor, Plant Science
- Will Valley, Associate Professor of Teaching, and Associate Dean, Equity, Decolonization and Inclusion
- Siyun Wang, Associate Professor, Food Safety Engineering
- Gage Averill, Provost and VP Academic, UBC Vancouver (Chair)
- Kate Carr, Executive Assistant to the Provost and AVP Faculty Planning (Secretary)
The Committee’s task is to consider and advise the President on the candidates before the President makes a recommendation to the Board of Governors. Odgers Berndtson executive search firm will be supporting the President’s Advisory Committee.
The search consultants are seeking your input on the following questions:
- What are the opportunities and challenges facing the Faculty over the next few years?
- What qualifications should be sought in candidates for Dean (in terms of leadership style, academic credentials, background, and experience)?
- Are there individuals you would like to recommend?
