Community Science Celebration Opportunity

Vancouver Community Science Celebration 2017 Are you looking to start off your year with a fun and exciting volunteering opportunity! We have just the event for you! UBC Let’s Talk Science and Genome BC are recruiting volunteers to help run two booths at this year’s annual Vancouver Community Science Celebration on September 16th and 17th! You can help children explore the magic (*Ahem* science) of DNA by making DNA Bracelets or Edible DNA and extracting DNA from kiwi fruit at the Genome BC booth or joining the LTS team in making Slime, exploring salmon migration, or running Chromatography Demos.

This event brings lots of families to Science World for a busy, fun and exciting two days, but we’ll need need many volunteers to make this event a success!
When: Saturday, September 16th and/or Sunday, September 17th 9:00am to 6:30pm
Where: Telus World of Science (1455 Quebec Street, Vancouver)
Who: Children of all ages Interested volunteers can sign up here or email Chantal (Genome BC booth: trips@ubclts.com) or Andrew (LTS booth: community@ubclts.com ) directly. Please specify which day(s) you are available, whether you’d prefer a morning, mid-day or afternoon shift and if you have a booth preference.
