We were hoping you could help us spread the word to students/staff about our October 25 Forum: Building Sustainable Communities: Taking Action.

This is an event hosted by IdeasXChange – a student-led group that promotes dialogue to address pressing local and global challenges on campus.

Attendees will get to see how community organizations have approached sustainability in Vancouver, and they can be part of that journey.

The theme is relevant to people from various faculties/departments, including the Faculty of Land and Food Systems.

Attendees will get the chance to meet community leaders, organizations, and fellow peers that want to make a difference.

Everyone is welcome.

SPEAKERS will include:

– Andrea Reimer – Vancouver City Councilor and former Deputy Mayor of Vancouver

– Meg O’Shea – Green Economy Coordinator at Vancouver Economic Commission

– Dagmar Timmer – Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives and Co-Founder at OneEarth

ORGANIZATIONS that will be boothing include: – Sustainable Youth Canada – The HIVE – U-HUB – Roots on the Roof … and more!

Get ready to be inspired and connect with community leaders, organizations, and other changemakers!
