Science Rendezvous!

Every year Let’s Talk Science hosts a booth at the Old Barn Community Centre located on campus where we run fun hands-on science activities and do mind-blowing demos! This year we will partner up with organizations throughout UBC to run a campus-wide celebration. Join us on May 12 at the Old Barn Community Centre or the Beaty Biodiversity Museum where we will be hosting a booth as one of UBC’s many events happening on campus in celebration of Science Literacy week.

When: May 12, 2018 at 9:30AM-2:30PM
Where: Old Barn Community Centre on campus (6308 Thunderbird Blvd) or Beaty Biodiversity Museum (2212 Main Mall)

Let’s Talk Science Challenge 2018

It is that time of year again! The 2018 Let’s Talk Science Challenge will welcome 200 students from Grades 6-8 from the Greater Vancouver Area to UBC! This year, we’re bringing back our revamped Jeopardy-style game show with a Hollywood Squares/Who Wants to be a Millionaire/Cash Cab/Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?-twist! The game show will be followed by a fun-filled design challenge during the afternoon. We are looking for 20+ volunteers to help run the events! Training will be provided in a brief training session before the event.

When: Friday, May 25th, 2018 from 8:00am-2:30pm
Where: UBC Campus (Neville Scarfe & CIRS)
Who: Students in Grades 6-8
