New Year Events

We’ve got some great events coming in 2019. First up is the GSS Cooking class on January 15th. Learn now to make dishes like yummy pesto with hemp seeds, spinach and basil and homemade barbecue sauce with carrots and wheat germ.

Student Survey Findings

Over the last few months the GSS have been analyzing and interpreting the data from our 2018 survey. It provides an excellent snapshot of the experiences of graduate students at UBC.

  You can review the key findings, which cover everything from relationship with supervisors to health and finance HERE. The GSS use these results to help us advocate to the University and Province on behalf of graduate students.

BECOME A VIGILANCE AMBASSADOR

The H-Behaviours Research Lab (previously Sleep/Wake-Behaviour Research Lab) at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and the BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit at BC Children’s Hospital (Vancouver, BC, Canada) are looking for interested students who will participate in a series of knowledge dissemination events as Vigilance Ambassadors.  

What? Vigilance Ambassadors are graduate/undergraduate students, who are interested in vigilance research (https://sleepnetwork.org/vigilance-wakeathon/). The project will start in May 2019 and end at the beginning of August 2019.
