  • Living in Vancouver Pre-Arrival webinars this week (Dec 15 or 17)
  • Jan 7th Official Welcome and International Student Development Info sessions
  • A suite of GSS community building events Jan 5-8
  • Welcome workshops (school life balance, flourishing in grad school with career planning from the start,  Equity and Inclusion’s working in a diverse environment, and supervisory relationships).

TEACHING DEVELOPMENT

January 2021 TA Institute

Jan 11 – 15 | A week-long collection of workshops designed to support TAs as their roles change along with the move to online courses. Sessions are organized into 6 themes:

  • Centering Student and TA Wellness
  • Designing for Impactful Teaching
  • Teaching for Inclusion and Accessibility
  • Implementing Impactful Teaching Practices
  • Professional (Interpersonal) Skills
  • Teaching with Technology

If you complete 4 workshops within a theme, and complete the related pre- & post-session online modules, you are eligible for a letter of completion that you can include in your Teaching Portfolio and CV. Learn more and register
