The Youth Climate Innovation Lab

Standard

This is Sayano from CityHive, a recent UBC graduate.

I am contacting you to let you know that our organization, CityHive, is launching a climate action program – the Youth Climate Innovation Lab.

This is a cohort-based program for youth ages 18-30 living across Metro Vancouver to collaborate with municipalities, civic institutions and community organizations while learning, upskilling and creating bold actions to address climate challenges and advance a just transition.

We’re looking for youth who haven’t yet engaged in climate action and are curious to do so AND youth who are already engaged in climate action to join our cohort this fall – starting in September. I am confident this program is well-suited for a lot of LFS students and alumni!

It would be greatly appreciated if you could share this with your students and colleagues who might be anxious about climate change, haven’t been involved yet and have some cool insights and perspectives that are needed for climate action.

You can take a peek at our outreach package here should you be able to share this on your social media feed or within any community newsletters you are sending out in the next week.

You can learn more about the program here and apply today (applications close on Sunday August 21st @ 11:59 pm PST).

Please reach out to climateaction@cityhive.ca if you have any questions about the program or the application process.

Thank you for your support!

Best,

Sayano
