We are thankful to all those from 62 world countries who have submitted so far over 450 abstracts for the 13th International Agriculture Symposium “AGROSYM 2022”, which will be held in hybrid format, both in-person and online.

Furthermore, due to many requests, AGROSYM 2022 Organizing Committee has decided to extend the deadline for the new abstract submission until 20th of May, 2022.

REMINDER and USEFUL INFORMATION

The 13th International Agriculture Symposium “AGROSYM 2022” will be held in Jahorina mountain (near Sarajevo), Bosnia and Herzegovina, 6-9 October 2022. Detailed information about the Symposium can be found at http://agrosym.ues.rs.ba/

AGROSYM 2022 will deal with the following thematic areas:

(1) Plant production;

(2) Plant protection and food safety;

(3) Organic agriculture;

(4) Environment protection and natural resources management;

(5) Animal husbandry;

(6) Rural development and agro-economy;

(7) and Forestry and agro-forestry.

Food Costing Volunteer Opportunity with BCCDC

BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC), part of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA), is recruiting student volunteers to help collect data for Food Costing in BC 2022 taking place from May 30th – June 10th, 2022.

This is a great opportunity for those seeking volunteer experiences relevant to public health and food security. Some students may have already seen a similar opportunity from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) for in-person food costing. The opportunity shared in this email is for online food costing which can be done from anywhere in BC. Please see attached letter for more details.

The Canada Graduate Scholarships – Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplement (CGS-MSFSS) Program supports high-calibre Canadian graduate students in building global linkages and international networks through the pursuit of exceptional research experiences at research institutions abroad. By accessing international scientific research and training, CGS-MSFSS recipients will contribute to strengthening the potential for collaboration between Canadian and foreign institutions.

  • Eligibility: Open to Canadian citizens or permanent residents who hold a Tri-Agency (CIHR, NSERC, or SSHRC) Canada Graduate Scholarship (CGS) at the Master’s or doctoral level or a Vanier CGS. Please note that international students who hold a Vanier CGS are not eligible for this award.
  • Value: Up to $6,000 for 2 to 6 months research study abroad
  • Application deadline: 4:00 pm PT on 20 May 2022, to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (Applicants apply directly to G+PS)
