A new Master of Education in Science Education (SCED) cohort being offered online by the UBC Faculty of Education, an opportunity to consult and have input into its priorities, and an upcoming information session for those who may be interested in taking this part-time, online degree.

Graduate Programs: Waitlist Registration is now OPEN for April 7, 8, 14 2018 Grad ISW

Standard

Waitlist registration is now open for the Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) April 7, 8, 14 2018.  The ISW is an internationally recognized program and students receive transcript notation for their participation. In addition, graduate students in STEM departments are eligible to become CIRTL associates upon completion of the workshop.   The ISW is a 3-day intensive workshop that develops participant’s teaching skills and confidence.  It is appropriate for first time teachers or those with years of experience.  Join the thousands of students who have taken this workshop.

 

IMPORTANT: The workshop runs from 8:15am-5:00pm. Please note you must be able to attend all three days, i.e. the entire 24-hour workshop.  Please find attached the policy for registering in an ISW and an FAQ sheet.

 

This workshop is always in high demand. Science Week at Lorn Nelson Elementary (URGENT)

Science Week at Lord Nelson Elementary means hands-on science workshops, fun booths, science fairs, and more! Be a part of this awesome experience and help inspire tomorrow’s scientists. We are looking for volunteers that are interested in volunteer for at least one of the 4 available workshops and/or running a booth during the Science Fair. Volunteers will get the opportunity to run hands-on science experiments with students in grades 5-7.

 

Who: Grades 5-7

When: One or both shifts

Feb 13th at 10-11am (workshop)

Feb 15th at 10-11am (workshop)

Where: Lord Nelson Elementary (2235 Kitchener St, Vancouver, BC V5L 2W9)
