BC Parks has just posted positions for Student Rangers that could be of interest to undergraduate and graduate students interested in working in conservation, ecological restoration and recreation. Not sure of the right channel to contact for dissemination but here is a link! Would be wonderful to get more of our students engaged with my favourite research and restoration partner!

South Asia Studies Grad Students Virtual Meet n’ Greet
StandardWe are excited to launch SAGA (South Asia Graduates for the Arts) at UBC: a grassroots initiative run by graduate students for graduate students, alumni, and the wider community. Our aim is to increase connection amongst South-Asia studies students, South Asian students, and South Asia-focused clubs with the wider South Asian community in the Lower Mainland.
To kick off the Project, we are inviting you to a UBC South Asia graduate students Virtual SAGA Meet n’ Greet that will be held on Thursday, January 28th from 7:00 to 8:00pm. We are hoping to bring together South Asia-focused graduate students across a variety of faculties and disciplines. We’ll watch a short film, talk about our work, and do some fun icebreakers! The first twenty graduate students to sign-up will receive a $20 gift card to order your favourite South Asian takeout to go along with the Meet n’ Greet! 🙂
While we are sad we can’t be with you all in person, we are excited to be able to connect with you virtually and continue to further the connections within this wonderful community!

He subsequently went into private practice, working very closely with industry as well as the government. He does extensive consulting work outside of Canada, as well as within, with examples being the US (both coasts), China and Europe.
