UBC Library has emerged as a Word on the Street winner, as its display – representing the Library and the UBC Library Vault – was judged as the event’s best Tent Booth.
Word on the Street, held on the last Sunday in September at Library Square in Vancouver, promotes books and authors. It is western Canada’s largest celebration of words and reading.
The UBC Library booth enjoyed steady traffic all day, issued about 250 free community cards and publicized UBC’s rich collections via the Library Vault (see the images online at www.ubcvault.ca).
