Weekly Update by the American Institute of Physics

I would like to share with you a report by Rachel Ivie (Assistant Director of AIP Statistical Research Center). It is an important read for any science or mathematics educator.I am fortunate to know Rachel personally and I know how much effort has been put into collecting and analyzing this data. Rachel’s team has done a great job doing it. This Report helps illuminate the situation of Women in Physics and understand how we might want to address current difficulties women in science face. However, what is even more interesting, this Report goes beyond the “women in physics” problem. We can see that dual career families face serious problems as well, so it is not just about women  – it is about everybody… I think it is relevant for women and men in science in general. Take a look!
