Hira Peracha

I am a first-year student in the Master of Arts School and Applied Child Psychology program. After my degree, I plan to do my PhD, and then work in schools or continue to do research. I grew up in British Columbia and did my undergrad in psychology at UBC. I have always been interested in working with children and learned about psychology in high school. After working as a Behaviour Interventionist in my undergrad, I realized that the SACP program was the best fit for me and my future goals. One thing I really appreciate in this program is the vast number of opportunities available. The program offers lots of hands-on experiences and there is always something you can get involved in. I enjoy reading, writing, and doing art in my spare time. Future students should always take the initiative to reach out to others in the program or the faculty if they need any assistance or guidance.
