4 Apps To Help Beat the Back to School Blues

With exams just around the corner, I’m sure lots of students are feeling stressed out and tired. Don’t fret! Here are some apps you can download on your phone or tablet to help you relax and deal with the stress!

1) The Worry Box

You can get this app for free in the Google Play Store.  This app is like your personal journal that you can take with you everywhere.  If you have a worry you can write it in the box and let the app guide you through your thoughts.  Not only can you write down your thoughts but the Worry Box will also ask you questions and give you tips on how to reduce your stress.

2) Sleep Time-Alarm Clock

Waking up for school just got easier!  Sleep is essential especially when you’re feeling stressed out about exams and school work.  This app (available in the App Store and Google Play store) can help you figure out how long it takes you to fall asleep as well as when you enter different phases of your sleep cycle.  By using this data it then wakes you up at the best possible time, when you’re not in a deep sleep.

3) 7 Cups of Tea

Feel like talking to somebody but want to remain anonymous?  This app is perfect if you just want to chat.  You can keep your identity a secret and talk to real life trained active listeners.  There are many live listeners you can choose from on this app and you can choose whichever one suits you!  It is completely free and very convenient.

4) Relaxing Sounds

Can’t sleep?  Need some soothing sounds to help clear your mind?  Download this app!  From the sound of waterfalls to the sound of campfires you can listen to relaxing sounds to help put your mind at ease.  You can even play these sounds while you’re studying if you don’t like studying in silence.

Be sure to check out our campus resources if you feel overwhelmed or would like to talk to somebody in person!  Good luck with your exams!

I’ve been having a hard time in many areas of my life, and the third app you suggested seems like it will be a great help! Thank you!
