U Maryland speech policy upheld

Inside Higher Ed reports: The University of Maryland at College Park acted constitutionally when it restricted supporters of Lyndon LaRouche from speaking in public areas of its campus, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit ruled Monday. The court’s decision, which upheld a lower court’s ruling, concluded that a policy that required members of the public to reserve space to rally or speak was “viewpoint neutral” and “reasonable.”
