Times Union: RPI faculty, students fight separate battles

Today, the school’s Faculty Senate will hold a vote of no-confidence in President Shirley Ann Jackson.
And the Student Senate, worked up over the school’s non-negotiable decision to cut alcohol consumption at fraternities and sororities, has scheduled its own referendum on the way administrators handed down that decision.

Both students and faculty share a common grievance: They don’t get to influence important issues.
