Lousiana: Legal points argued on Lousiana College professors’ lawsuit

TheTownTalk.com: Legal points argued on LC professors’ lawsuit

Loss of academic freedom is at the heart of a lawsuit renewed by four Louisiana College professors, but the college’s lawyer said the lawsuit contains no specifics.

The professors first sued in 1995, and the matter was settled in 1997 with Leon Hyatt writing a letter of apology and the Board of Trustees agreeing not to retaliate against the professors. The professors renewed the lawsuit after they claim the defendants started spreading false rumors in churches statewide.
