Miami Herald: FIU set to give President Maidique a big pay increase
Florida International University President Modesto ”Mitch” Maidique could earn more than $500,000 a year under a contract negotiated Monday.
The three-year deal would raise Maidique’s base salary from $326,340 a year to $385,507. In addition, he would receive a 20 percent ”supplement” — equivalent to $77,101 — from the FIU Foundation, the university’s fundraising arm.
