The Chronicle: New York State Lawmaker Subpoenas College Board’s President Over Report on SAT-Scoring Errors

The College Board’s refusal to release a report on last fall’s SAT-scoring errors has tested the patience of a prominent New York state senator. Now the legislator wants to put the organization’s top executive back on the hot seat.

On Monday, State Sen. Kenneth P. LaValle, a Republican and chairman of the New York State Senate Higher Education Committee, subpoenaed Gaston Caperton, the College Board’s president, to testify at a hearing scheduled for Friday afternoon in Farmingdale, N.Y. Mr. LaValle’s subpoena commands Mr. Caperton to disclose the contents of the report, which was prepared by Booz Allen Hamilton Inc., a consulting firm.
