Mediation could be on the horizon for the Michigan Tech University American Association of University Professors (AAUP) faculty union and Tech faculty members who signed a petition for decertification of the union.
At the request of the AAUP, a state mediator will meet with representatives from the union, Tech administration and faculty to resolve issues stemming from the petition and an unfair labor practice charge against the university, said Ellen Horsch, Tech’s vice president of administration.
