Tallahassee Democrat: Board approves FAMU faculty raise
A 2-percent raise for faculty at Florida A&M University was approved by the FAMU board of trustees Monday. Permission to put the raise into effect depends upon a collective-bargaining agreement with FAMU’s chapter of United Faculty of Florida. The raise would apply to faculty members who were full-time as of last July 1 and had satisfactory evaluations. It would be retroactive to January, and cost the university $846,246 for its six-month implementation this fiscal year.
