UBC MBA Community Leadership Awards

UBC MBA Community Leadership Awards
Full-time MBA Graduating Class of 2015

Multiple awards of $5,000 are available to MBA students who exemplify the Robert H. Lee Graduate School principles of leadership and contribution in the UBC MBA community.   Recipients will be selected on the basis of their UBC MBA community-based involvement, leadership qualities and their academic performance in the program.

NOTE:  Emphasis is for involvement within the MBA program and the Sauder School of Business – whether with fellow students, clubs, organizing workshops, volunteering with events, etc.  Mentioning involvement in the external community would also be beneficial, but the emphasis should be within the program.

These awards are open to Graduating Class of 2015 full-time MBA students only.

Application Procedure:

 Submit the following:

  1.  Cover letter (length 1 to 2 pages maximum) providing information on your UBC MBA community involvement and leadership roles (describing the contribution and initiative you have demonstrated in these areas).

B-Clinic Opportunities

Posted on behalf of Murali:

Hi all,

Hope you have had a super break after a productive GIE!

As you return, we are pleased to be able to offer you 5 b-clinic opportunities. We were initially going to hold the b-clinic projects for the P6 and P7, but owing to requests from many of you and the availability of several projects, we are offering them now for P4 leading into the summer.

Attached you will find two documents. The first outlines what the b-clinic projects are, work-load requirement, credit offering, and processes. The second outlines the five opportunities available.

Business Clinic Projects
b-clinic 2014 Spring opportunities

If you are interested in any of these projects, you will need to do the following:
• Send an email to Eveline Lam (eveline.lam@sauder.ubc.ca) with subject line reading “Interest in b-clinic project”
• In the email clearly specify the project in which you are interested
• Attach a copy of your resume
Each team will be no more than 4 students — if more than 4 students apply for a project, Murali, in conjunction with the client, will make the decision on the team composition.

We will be aiming to kick off the projects in the week of March 17.

If you have any questions that need answering before you throw your hat into the ring, send an email to Murali Chandrashekaran (murali@sauder.ubc.ca)

Best,
Murali
