ENGR 449: International Sustainable Transportation Engineering & Planning (I-STEP)
This was a one month seminar course offered by UBC’s Go Global. It allowed students to travel to Kelowna and Holland to study principles, practice, and policy for sustainable planning and design of land use and transportation systems. We benefited from local and international scholars and professionals, and developed our skills for land use and transportation system planning and design; facility planning and design; and, policies for promoting walking/biking/transit, and for developing sustainable communities.
