What a great news! I’m so happy for all of you and thank you for giving us(the current SLAISers) some hope that there IS some light there at the end of the tunnel!
Count me in too (and my little one 🙂 — her dad will be away for a conference that day.

Thanks, Jing. I am working well at North Van. People are nice, and I have learned a lot.
I have been to the Cruise three times. Usually it costs $20-25 dollars, no food or a little food offered. Space is limited and environment noisy. CSSA Cruise attracts many students each year, and I do not think it is ideal to have our own party within a large group of people around.
With $20 each, we can find a little featured restaurant…

From within the tunnel, I see four dazzling floodlights there… Congratulations to all of you!
See you on the cruise.

Thanks Jian for the insight. Half of us have taken the cruise and it won’t be fun if it’s raining and crowded. Restaurant gathering is another idea. Chinese or Western? We may need a long table. I am open to all suggestions.

Congrats to all! I was very busy this summer, but it worked well. I got the Youth Services Librarian position at Surrey Public Library starting this week.
I’d like to join you and prefer a restaurant gathering.

Hurrah! Congratulations to Lucy! Looks we all have some good news to share.
Heather is doing moving sale now, and I hope we can get together before she leaves Vancouver.
Anyone has a good restaurant to recommend? I know a Hunan restaurant in Richmond (close to T&T). If you are not afraid of spicy food, this is a nice little place. I noticed there were few people at noon.
$15/each is good enough.

Thank you all for your congratulations via email, phone call and blog!
I am sorry that I was unable to inform all of you that I was leaving for China for a family visit – I am in Beijing now and will fly to Fujian tomorrow morning. I must to make this trip before I start another part of my life in Montreal. I will be back to Vancouver on Oct. 3. I am very much looking forward to seeing you on Oct. 7.
No matter how sad I am to have to say good-bye to you, I am glad that you and your families will have one more place to stay when you get a chance to visit Montreal. Isn’t it wonderful? I am certain that I will miss all of you!
Like you, I am very excited to learn the great news from others. Please accept my warmest congratulations!
See you and talk to you soon!
