I have read your definition of Special Purpose Vehicle posted on the Team Forum. I was totally unfamiliar with this term until I read your post and gained an understanding about Project Finance. Undoubtedly, it is well written and explains the meaning and purpose of SPV (Special Purpose Vehicle). However, there are few things I would like to bring to your attention that could make your content more easy to understand.
Purpose: The purpose of the definition is clearly met as intended for non-technical audience. It is well explained
Punctuation: In the sentence definition, the second sentence is a bit too long. It could either be written as two sentences or shortened to fit well in one sentence. For example, you wrote: It is often used in project finance ventures which are usually high-risk, as it’s individual legal personality isolates financial risk to the parent company or investors. Suggested change: It is often used in high risk project finance ventures. Its individual legal personality isolates financial risk to the parent company or investors.
Please note that It’s refers to It is or It has. The sentences demand that “its/Its” is the word of choice instead of “It’s/it’s” Also, the second sentence of expanded definition should end after venture.
Grammar: The sentence, “Usually in project finance, risk is high in,” could be written as “In project finance, the risks are usually high in:”
Visuals: Even though it is self explanatory but some sort of illustration (diagrammatic or chart) could enhance the understanding for visual learners.
Overall, your definition is easy to comprehend for people like me with no background in Finance. The purpose of SPV is clearly explained. I have just noted minute details but they can make a big difference in the meaning . If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
