Hi Team!
Here is my list of 10 best practices to keep in mind while building a LinkedIn profile.
- Tell a story in your summary and within your experiences section.
- Even if you’re transitioning between jobs, don’t be afraid to make this clear.
- Customize your headline, don’t leave it generic and uninspiring.
- Avoid buzzwords, they’re overused.
- Include words and phrases you think recruiters might search for.
- Write articles/blog posts to boost your visibility.
- Add media (articles, blogs, videos, pictures).
- Find and join groups to increase your network.
- Pick the perfect profile picture, it’s worth a thousand words right?
- Build an incredible profile.
As someone who’s had LinkedIn for years but never used it, I’m excited (but a little nervous) to get started. I hope you guys found these tips as helpful as I did and I’m eager to put them to practice!
