BBA Reader Training is now online! Readers on the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses will see the course available in Connect.

Have you logged into Connect lately? If you have, you may have noticed the new BBA Reader Training course!

Last year’s in-person sessions have been transformed into an interactive, online class that will be available to readers on both UBC campuses. The course uses a mix of webpages, videos, slides, and assessments to remind all of us how to score consistently and in a way that’s fair to students.

The online BBA reader training project is a collaboration between Carla Da Silva in Manager of Applicant Services on the Vancouver campus, Applicant Services Coordinator Sita Guild on the Okanagan campus, and Mandy Thiessen and Coby Thurmeier in Learning & Development on the Vancouver campus.

Vancouver campus readers

If you’re currently signed up as a reader on the Vancouver campus, please complete training by November 22nd for reads to be assigned on November 25th. If you’re not yet a reader in Vancouver but are interested, email personal.profile@ubc.ca to sign up!

Okanagan campus readers

UBC Okanagan is not seeking any more readers for this year’s applications; however, email sita.guild@ubc.ca if you’re interested in getting on the waitlist for next year’s training.
