As we mentioned in the IRP Student Project Scope and Timeline article, our team is divided into the four scope areas of Admissions, Records and Advising, Learner Financial Management, Learner Financial Support and the Team Leadership and Support. Our team has a wealth of experience and knowledge from a variety of sectors that will help us optimize our implementation to use Workday to the best of UBC’s benefit.

We are also fortunate to extend our team’s knowledge with a group of subject matter experts we refer to on an ongoing basis, our Community Design Consultants (CDCs). This group of subject matter experts were identified by the IRP Student Business Leads or unit leader nominations to help augment our team’s knowledge and help inform how we design new processes and configure Workday. The CDCs participate in meetings, working groups and ad hoc consultations with the functional team.

Our team is also known to have a good time. Team events were a frequent occurrence pre-Covid, now we rely on Erin to come up with themes for our team meetings. Some past themes have included changing our Zoom photos to pictures of us when we were younger, changing our Zoom backgrounds to where we would’ve been for May long weekend, and wearing our Halloween costumes.
