Professional Background: Kyle is a new UBC staff member. He was a practicing lawyer at a small downtown Vancouver firm before joining Enrolment Services.
Personal: Kyle grew up in Ottawa and was a student at Queen’s University before fleeing from Ontario’s soul-crushing winters and finding himself in Vancouver. After completing law school at UBC, Kyle attempted to return to Ontario, but lasted only a year before learning his lesson and again seeking refuge on the West Coast. When not on campus, Kyle can most often be found playing and coaching basketball, reading, playing tennis, cooking exotic cuisine with limited success, running, hiking and biking. Kyle’s wife Laura has also asked that we make note of Kyle’s fondness for musical theatre in the hope that he can finally find someone else – anyone else – to go with him in the future.
