Register for the LFS Welcome Back Event –  Friday, Sept. 24

Registration is open for the LFS Welcome Back Event this Friday, September 24 from 3-5pm at UBC Farm. Join us as we celebrate and thank LFS faculty members, staff and graduate students for all their hard work over the past 18 months!

Deadline to register is Thursday, September 23 (9am). Tickets will not be available to purchase at the event.

This year’s event will feature:

  • local food trucks and vendors with vegetarian & vegan options (Tamaly-Shop, Via Tevere Pizza, Ay! Mamacita, and BAK’D)
  • a pop-up market
  • a presentation from Rickey

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own water bottles (there will be stations available for refills) and picnic blankets to sit on. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the event.

Let’s Talk Science is a national science outreach organization consisting of university-specific, independently operated chapters. UBC Let’s Talk Science volunteers are role models for young Canadians. As a volunteer, you will meet like-minded people, make a difference in your community, be eligible for prestigious awards and rekindle your love of science.

We set you up for success by providing training, activity kits, funding and materials. There are several (up to 10!) different programs run by UBC Let’s Talk Science that you can learn more about by attending one of our info sessions
