Craig Dobbin Legacy Scholarships

Supporting research connection between Canada and UCD

We are excited to inform you that we are now accepting applications for the Craig Dobbin Legacy Scholarships, with a closing date of the 29th of May.

Thirty Craig Dobbin Legacy Scholarships are being awarded under this programme supporting research in the Arts and Humanities (interdisciplinary proposals are welcome). Fifteen of these scholarships will be awarded to UCD researchers seeking to conduct research in Canada, with another fifteen being awarded to Canadian scholars seeking to conduct research in UCD.

Research scholarships ranging in value from €5k to €7k will support research visits ranging in duration from 2-4 weeks. The  application process has been designed to be very streamlined and efficient, to facilitate applicants.

A minimum of three scholarships will be made to scholars whose application proposes to conduct research which connects Memorial University Newfoundland with UCD.

The Craig Dobbin Legacy Programme is an initiative of ICUF, the UCD Centre for Canadian Studies and UCD’s College of Arts and Humanities. We are very grateful to the Dobbin family for their ongoing support of the work of ICUF, and of this programme in particular.

The LFS TA Application System is now open for students to apply to TA for all Winter 2024/25 terms.

The LFS TA Application closes on April 30th, 2024 at 4:30pm.

INTERESTED STUDENTS: Apply now!
You will need your CWL to access to the TA Application system. From off-campus, you will also need to use the VPN.

 

Log in with your CWL. Once logged in, complete &/or update your profile details, and apply for courses.

Yes, it’s already time to think about the Winter terms of 2024/25 …
The LFS TA Application will open soon to accept applications to TA for all 2024/25 Winter terms.

NOTE: for returning TAs – updates in your Additional Information are required before you can view the courses.
There are new fields to complete and update yearly going forward.

As mandated by the CUPE 2278-UBC agreement, the LFS TA Application will only be open for students to apply from:

  • 10:00am, Sunday, March 31st, 2024 – closes on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024 4:30pm.

After closing April 30th at 4:30pm, application is limited exclusively to invitation by instructor or administrator.

If you are off-campus you must use a Virtual Private Network (VPN) to access the website.
