Dear Colleagues,
My previous boss from Purdue University and a friend of many of you, Dr. Connie Weaver, is coming to Vancouver and kindly agreed to give a seminar at UBC. She is an internationally-known in calcium metabolism, mineral bioavailability, botanicals and bone health. She will specifically talk about sodium and potassium and their impact on heart and bone health. The seminar will be held in FNH building, room 60 at 3-4 pm on Thursday, May 10.

I am sure everyone in human nutrition field heard about Connie. I encourage you to attend the event and take the opportunity to meet her and listen to her latest research. She is a wonderful person and I was very fortunate to have her as my mentor.
