Call for Poster Presentations – Due date Nov. 19th
Purpose of posters session:
The purpose of this session is to allow Forum participants to share new and ongoing projects and
research outcomes. The poster session will be at Summerhill Winery and conclude the Forum.
Poster presenters are expected to bring their printed posters and handouts (if desired). The poster
session will take place Monday Dec. 3 from 4:30 to 6:00 PM accompanied with wine and cheese.
Attendees will browse among the posters and speak directly with the presenters during this time.
Thus, the poster session is intended to be informal and conversational.

Policy
Production
Consumption
The topics are meant to be broad and inclusive.
Other topics and research projects of relevance to the Okanagan region, in areas of sustainable food systems; local foods, food exchange, slow foods, regulation etc.
Poster Guidelines:
The suggested poster size is the standard (36 inches “tall” x 48 inches “wide” or 91.5 cm “tall” x
120 cm “wide”). Posters may be handmade or printed. Please note that only posters of
informative and technical-scientific style will be accepted! Posters must be in English. Please
send questions re the poster sizes to the forum coordinator at: Carolina.restrepo@ubc.ca
Handout Guidelines:
Each poster presenter may provide their own copies of an accompanying handout for
distribution (maximum 2 pages).
Posters Submission, Exhibition and Presentation
Anyone interested in participating with a poster at the event, should send a proposal to the Forum
Co-ordinator Carolina Restrepo-Tamayo at Carolina.restrepo@ubc.ca by November 19, 2018.
Proposals should include the names and affiliations of all authors, a poster title and abstract.
