Professor David Fraser’s (C.M.) career in animal welfare science spans 50 years. As one of the founding members of the University of British Columbia’s Animal Welfare Program in 1997, he has spent the past 25 years dedicated to improving the lives of animals through research, education, outreach and mentorship of animal welfare practitioners. Dr. Fraser’s former students, mentees, and colleagues now span the globe and carry the same drive for improving the lives of animals across all disciplines. Join Dr. Fraser for an evening discussion of the evolution of animal welfare science over the past 50 years, as well as what is next to come. This event is hosted in celebration of the Animal Welfare Program (AWP)’s 25 year anniversary. Reconnect with AWP faculty members Dan Weary, Marina von Keyserlingk, and Sasha Protopopova during the networking reception. |
