Week of August 6 to 10 – Schedule meeting with LFS Grad Award Committee

Week of August 13 – Nominations sent to Grad Studies for review, processing and offers

Positive Space Workshops

 Positive Space Workshops: Help Build Welcoming and Inclusive Communities 

Explore how you can positively impact the climate for sexual and gender diversity at UBC and make your learning, working, or living communities more inclusive to all. 

Positive Space workshops cover current language, issues, resources, and best practices in an interactive and experiential learning environment. Participants will gain relevant knowledge and skills to use in their academic, work, and campus life so that they can help make UBC more welcoming to lesbian, gay, bisexual, two-spirit, trans and queer students, staff, faculty, alumni, and allies. 

Workshops take place from 1-3 PM in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre, starting Wednesday, June 13. Future workshop dates are July 19 and August 15. Register early as space is limited; refreshments will be provided.

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) is now accepting applications for the IDRC Research Awards 2019.

This call is open to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens of developing countries pursuing a master’s or a doctoral degree at a recognized university OR who have completed a master’s or a doctoral degree at a recognized university. A total of twelve awards will be offered; there is one award for each program listed below:
