10 Ethics and Equity

CEAB GRADUATE ATTRIBUTE:  ETHICS AND EQUITY

Students graduating with an engineering degree from the University of British Columbia possess an ability to apply professional ethics, accountability and equity.

CIVIL ENGINEERING PROGRAM INDICATORS (required by CEAB):

Those graduating with a civil engineering degree will be able to:

  • 10.1:  Behave Ethically and Equitably – demonstrate behaviour congruent with academic integrity and equity expectations of UBC and its Faculty of Applied Science;
  • 10.2:  Address Equity Issues – demonstrate equitable and inclusive decision-making processes that recognize issues related to race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, mental or physical disability;
  • 10.3:  Address Ethical Issues – demonstrate knowledge of micro-ethical and macro-ethical issues.
