CEAB GRADUATE ATTRIBUTE:  ECONOMICS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Students graduating with an engineering degree from the University of British Columbia possess an ability to appropriately incorporate economics and business practices into project, risk, and change management, into the practice of engineering and to understand their limitations.

CIVIL ENGINEERING PROGRAM INDICATORS (required by CEAB):

Those graduating with a civil engineering degree will be able to:

  • 11.1:  Construction and Project Management – apply construction management skills, including costing, planning, scheduling, and safety analyses;
  • 11.2:  Project Appraisal – demonstrate an understanding of, and is able to apply, economic and decision-making analysis techniques as relevant to civil engineering projects;
  • 11.3:  Business Principles – demonstrate an understanding of business principles and practices as relevant to civil engineering projects.
