CEAB Graduate Attributes

What are Graduate Attributes?

Graduate attributes describe desirable characteristics of the ideal student graduating with an engineering degree from a Canadian university.

What is the basis of the CEAB Graduate Attributes?

The CEAB Attributes are based on competence standards for students graduating from engineering programs set by the Washington Accord.  Canada is a signatory of this international agreement.  For more information, see:  The International Engineering Alliance

How are Graduate Attributes useful?

The attributes influence curriculum design, including the constructive alignment between the overarching goals of the curriculum, the learning goals of individual courses, learning activities within each course, and student learning assessments.
