PROVOKING THE IMAGINATION

“Crossing Boundaries: On Urban Interdisciplinarity”

An in-class fireside chat featuring two guest speakers was organized with the aim to spark conversation around contemporary challenges and opportunities encountered by practitioners working in the urban realm. Guest speakers were invited to share examples from their own practice/portfolio as it relates to city-making and the urban environment. In doing so, guest speakers would also offer provocative insights on the potential of interdisciplinary collaboration in contributing towards innovative urban ideas or solutions.

The fireside chat was followed by a fast-paced segment in which student teams delivered a 2-minute elevator pitch of their projects to invited guests for constructive feedback.
